[ Hello, Officer. ]

OK... I haven't added an entry in ages and ages... things have been experienced and forgotten, too many things, things, things, are happening happening happening.

Let me choose one.

I just got a friendly call from a Constable asking me to come down to the station to file a police report. Why? Well, because about two weeks ago I was in my car and turned my head to the left. Unfortunately, my car was still travelling forward, and the driver in front of me had stopped. Ergo to wit... bumper party. The woman was really nice about it, I took full responsibility and when we inspected her bumper it was a little loose but she suspected it was like that for years. We exchanged info and I told her that because I was actually looking into getting a new car (great timing), that I would like to pay for any damage myself, NOT through insurance. She agreed, and off we went.
Then I get a call a week later from the same woman who is now saying she might have whiplash ("I had a headache the next day, and I NEVER get headaches! Its gone now, but my doctor said it could come back six months from now...."). Then she said the magic words: "I don't really know how much this will end up costing in the long run, and I wouldn't want to have to SUE YOU...."
Shut. Up.
OK, fine. Put it through my insurance, bye bye new car. My fault, fine. The damage was less than $1000. Fine. Now she's filed a police report because its now an "injury accident". Its just getting better and better. I suspect now I'll recieve some sort of ticket for careless driving, or driving too close... I don't want to sound cold and callous; I've had whiplash before and I've had friends with whiplash, but it seems as time goes on this woman comes up with more and more. What was a 10km/hr bump (we were in traffic) with a loose bumper, not even a paint scratch is now a huge deal.
I'm just venting.... I don't want to get any hate responses about how it was my fault (I know, thanks), but a shitty day is a shitty day.

I have other, nicer, probably more interesting things to write about, but they won't surface until I get all of the negetive crud out of the way first.

Argh. Off I go, wish me luck.
Off. I. Go.

the lieutenant
